Ordering repeat prescriptions

The preferred way of ordering your medication is online. To set up for online access, please do so via the NHS app Click here, alternatively repeat prescriptions may be requested online via Accurx Click here, or in person at the Reception Desk. The practice request that patients use the Prescription Request form for this purpose this is attached to the right-hand side of each prescription.

Patients are requested to tick each item required. The practice will not normally take requests for prescriptions via the telephone although in some specifically agreed circumstances it may be possible to request repeat medication in this way. This is to ensure patient safety and to prevent the wrong medication being issued.

The Practice Policy is that 48 hours notice is required for repeat prescriptions, however some may take up to 72 hours.

Some local chemists provide a repeat prescription collection and delivery service but this needs to be arranged with the chemist by the patient themselves. You can also nominate a pharmacy for us to send your prescription electronically to them. This will avoid you needing to collect paper prescriptions from the practice. We also offer Repeat Dispensing for patients on a limited number of regular repeat items. Your prescription will automatically be sent to your nominated pharmacy electronically.
