Booking appointments online
The Practice offers patients the facility to book their GP appointments and to to request their repeat prescriptions on-line. You can also request appointments and prescriptions using the NHS app.
Download the NHS App or open the NHS website up an login to access the range of NHS services online.
The NHS App is available on iOS and Android:
To use the NHS App, you must be aged 13 or over and registered with a GP surgery in England.
Find out more about the NHS App.
You can also request access to additional information held in your medical record subject to approval. Please ask reception for details.
Patients may request a Doctor’s appointment with a specific Doctor for all routine non-urgent appointments, and the Practice will try to accommodate them wherever possible. You may request a telephone or face to face appointment, however the clinician may request you attend for a face to face appointment if clinically indicated.
Cancelling your appointment
Patients are asked to keep their appointments. If you are unable to keep the appointment please inform the Practice in good time so that another patient who needs an appointment can be given one. Please arrive in good time for your appointment.
If you book an appointment and cannot attend, the earlier that you cancel it the better, as it can then be offered to somebody else. We appreciate that sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances, this is not always possible.
However, if patients repeatedly cancel appointments on the day without a valid reason, this will be treated in line with non-attendances as per our DNA policy.
We are a very busy practice and it is essential that any booked appointments with any clinician, (Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Assistant) are kept.
REMEMBER BOOK IT, KEEP IT, CANCEL IT.
Extended Access
As part of our extended access outside of normal hours, we have appointments to with our GP, Practice Nurse and Nurse Associate on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm-8pm.
Extra appointments are being provided in the evening and at weekends across Doncaster. The service is an extension of your GP practice and offers routine and same day appointments with a range of clinicians including GPs, Nurses and other Healthcare Professionals.
Home Visits
Requests for Home Visits may be made by telephone or at the Reception Desk by messenger, preferably before 10am. The patient must be residing in the Practice Area and be unable to attend Surgery due to their medical condition. Home visits are reserved for elderly and housebound patients. It is not appropriate to request a home visit for minor illness or because you don’t have transport.
All requests for Home Visits will be relayed to the GP at the end of Morning Surgery unless it is deemed more urgent, when the Receptionist will bring the request to the Doctor’s attention immediately. In the event of an emergency the Receptionist will advise the patient to call an Ambulance or will do so on the patient’s behalf if necessary after speaking with the doctor.
